Program purpose
The main purpose of the Stricto sensu Postgraduate Program in Clinical Research of Infectious Diseases from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (INI - Instituto Nacional de Infectologia Evandro Chagas) from Fiocruz (Oswaldo Cruz Foundation) is to educate researchers and professors of high scientific level, qualifying students to plan and develop investigations in areas at the frontier of knowledge, through an interdisciplinary program that provides insertion of the student in collaborative research projects and national and international research networks, Students are qualified for scientific production and stimulated to publish results of their research as articles in scientific magazines of excellence and international impact.
Program Description
Masters and Doctoral Programs enable, by mutual agreement between the Advisor and the Advisee, formal courses, internships and participation of co-advising of initiation or scientific specialization. These activities can be converted into credit, observing deliberations from the Post graduation Committee (CPG) from INI/FIOCRUZ and incorporated to the student’s academic transcript. The CPG performs regular evaluations of student’s development and progress of work related to the dissertation/thesis project.
